CHAP Accreditation

U.P. Home Health & Hospice Menu Bar

nurse.jpg Both our Home Health Program and our Hospice Program are accredited with commendations by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), a division of the National League for Nursing. CHAP accreditation signals the nation’s highest standards for home health care and brings "deemed status" for participation in Medicare and Medicaid. That means our standards exceed those set by the Federal Government and automatically certifies us for Medicare/Medicaid programs. It also recognizes U.P. Home Health and U.P. Hospice as "Experts" in Home Health and Hospice Care.

CHAP places strong emphasis on patient satisfaction and community service. Annual unannounced "inspections" and regular peer review assure continuous quality health care. In addition, a comprehensive assessment of our "corporate health" assures financial stability, securing our place in your future. CHAP accredits our home health and hospice programs separately, and is your family’s seal of approval for quality home health services. We are also certified through Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan.
